No explanation really needed as to what this is about. 21st October was the day Lowkeys album Sountrack To The Struggle had a launch party and it honestly was something else. After the show, we got to meet him and it was truly unreal. Made me realise a few things. Number 1: power of the people. Lowkey made it this far independently. Shows you don't need lots of money to get far in life. Number 2: real music: If you listen to the album from start to finish, it takes on an emotional journey through his thoughts on several issues. none of that mcdonalds music. Number 3: making a difference. i realised that anyone can make a difference. it doesn't have to be this huge production, televised with a hundred and one sponsors. it can be small, independent. we have the internet at your fingertips and that is one way to reach out to people. something i have the intention of doing. :)

If you haven't already heard by now, riots have been taking place in London since Saturday. Thats a total of five days. It started in Tottenham, north london over the killing of a man, and since then has turn into absolute mayhem. people are now looting(stealing) from shops they have broken into, setting fire to cars and shops and have completely forgotten what the riots were for in the first place. monday night saw the police on the streets increase from 6000 to 16000. i get that the people are angry and the only way to actually control the riots is to listen to what the people are saying. but the government are just calling it 'thuggery' and all these other nonsense words. it is in a way but the coalition dont realise the power of the people. i admit, the riots are getting beyond ridiculous, with people stealing rice and clothes and then posting pictures of themselves on twitter: you might as well call up 999 and tell em to come and arrest you. :/ in my area, the rioting has gone as far as breaking into shops and stealing, a few buildings on fire, not too much though. i probably sound like a nutcase saying that, but compare what happened in my area, to say croydon in south london where the pictures in this set show massive builings on fire, so bad that a lady has to jump out her own home. after london, riots popped up in other major cities in Britain: Birmingham, Manchester etc and these have gotten bad enough that three people have died. to be honest, to me it seems that the riots are 'trending' and i know thats a bad word to describe it, but alot of these teenagers are just wanting free stuff and won't stop until they get arrested. its gotten to the point where the riots are annoying me...no actually pissing me off. i feel quite ashamed to be a londoner at this point, where people my age feel its okay to break into a sportswear shop, try on a pair of trainers and steal em, just to make 'some point that they havent talked much about'.
